This is a pitch RFQ to help the client work out a budget for this project and shortlist potential survey partners. There will surely be some honing of the survey specification and therefore at this stage we do not ask for more than a ballpark figure to help you save time. We do not require a detailed breakdown of fees.


In this first round competitive price is pivotal in swaying a decision in your favour. Once shortlisted, credentials come into focus and final negotiations begin.

    SURVEY SPECIFICATION

     

    Research Topic

    • The principal client is a luxury cruise operator seeking to explore expectations, motivations and perceptions regarding high end cruise experiences.

    • This RFQ is for the qualitative part of the project only.

    Research Locations

    • Australia.

    • New Zealand.

    • United Kingdom.

    • United States.

    Target Respondents
     
    High Net Worth Individuals

    • High net worth individuals with an investable household income of at least US$ 1 million.

    • Aged 25-75; mix of couples, solos, retirees and working professionals.

    • Frequent travellers who have booked or are likely to book premium travel experiences such as European tours and cruises.

    • Not all need not to have been on a luxury cruise before, but would consider it. Ideally a third of the respondents will have been on a cruise in the past.

    Travel Agents Luxury Holidays

    • Mix of independent agents as well as those belonging to a group with a focus on - or good portfolio of - luxury holidays. Both bricks & mortar and online

    • Robust share of high income travellers in their clientele.

    • Senior management with good understanding of all aspects of the business they run.

    Research Methodology

    • Online IDIs with two options: one lasting 30 minutes and another 60 minutes.

    • The client is looking for a recruitment only service, but if this deters you from sharing a quotation you can include moderating as well.

    • Recruitment is through free find.

    • For recruitment only, recruiters make appointments with eligible respondents for time-slots as agreed with the client beforehand.

    • Recruiters complete the screener online.

    • When including moderating, there is no requirement for transcripts, but screen recordings are.

    Number of Respondents

    • Australia: 4 HNIs and 3 agents.

    • New Zealand: 3 HNIs and 2 agents.

    • United Kingdom: 8 HNIs and 5 agents.

    • United States: 20 HNIs and 15 agents.

    Quotas

    • There are no regional quotas within each country, but interviews should not all be in the same location.

    • There are soft quotas for HNIs by age group, only to ensure a reasonable distribution.
