The purpose of this survey is to understand communication, information and participation needs of young women in rural areas in Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. The client seeks to explore enablers for young women to be empowered in the media generally and social media in particular. The survey involves five in-venue focus groups and two web-IDIs with industry experts in each country. Ideally, the focus groups should draw on a diverse mix of ethnic groups/tribes.
