Target Respondents
Healthcare Providers
- 3–35 years in practice.
- Currently active in clinical practice ≥60% of working time.
- Works in primary care, nephrology, cardiology.
- Specialists are actively involved in initiating and coordinating management for cardio, renal and metabolic, specifically in CKD and renal.
- Must have routing/diagnostic involvement.
- Has a significant influence on: diagnosis and further investigations (labs, imaging, etc.); treatment options (lifestyle, pharmacological, referrals to specialists) and patient monitoring/follow-up.
- Exclude HCPs not currently managing patients (academic-only roles, retired physicians).
- Exclude HCPs primarily engaged in paediatric practice.
- Exclude HCPs in industry-only roles.
Healthcare Payers
- Managerial and must have an influence in healthcare paymen policies. For the purpose of the quotation we can limit organisations to healh insurance companies.
Patients
- Aged 40–80.
- All patients must have Diagnosis of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) - (Preferably Stage 1–4, not on dialysis).
- At least one of the following comorbidities: Heart Failure (HF) – either HFpEF or HFrEF; Type 2 Diabetes (T2D); Hypertension (HTN).
- Currently on treatment for CKD, HF, T2D, or HTN.
- Aware of their diagnosis and able to describe their care experience.
- Having access to and comfortable using digital platforms (for bulletin boards and survey participation).
- Willing to discuss testing, treatment decisions, and daily experience.
Research Methodology
- This project encompasses one wave of fieldwork per quarter: four wave over a 12-months period.
- The survey combines the use of an online bulletin board and online IDIs. Respondents participate in either one of them.
- All sessions regardless of method of interaction last 20 minutes each. Therefore 80 minutes in total over four waves.
- Some HCPs and Payers may be invited to participate in an online focus group.
- Research material and sessions are in English only.
- The client moderates and is responsible for the online tools.
- Recruitment through free-find.
Number of Respondents
- 4 Patients.
- 5 Nephrologists.
- 5 Cardiologists.
- 5 GP/PCPs.
- 2 Payers.
Quality Control - HCPs Only
- Limited PII required: name, designation, represented healthcare provider and email address. This is for QA only and we can sign an NDA if required.
